Posted July 19, 2012. My 2011 690 E R was too tall, I wear 31" long pants (never measured my legs!). My feet touch each side on tip toes as your photo shows. This was causing me to easily drop the bike in difficult terrain because I could not the leverage I needed to hold it up.

That said, you’re not going to flat foot. I have a 29-30” inseam and I side saddle it. Left foot on peg, ball of right foot on ground, heel in the air like a dancer. The link due to it's longer lever arm essentially softens the shock spring everything else being equal and may also give a bit more travel. It feels good.
